Job summary

Construct Executive Search is seeking a highly experienced Health & Safety Manager for senior leadership in civil engineering and construction projects in South Africa. The candidate should possess a relevant degree, SAMTRAC, ISO Internal Auditor qualification, and extensive H&S leadership on large-scale projects.

Experience with SANRAL, DWS, Rand Water, Transnet, Eskom, or municipalities is valued, along with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously and maintain strong technical,

Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor's Degree or National Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety or Safety Management.
• Must have a valid SAMTRAC certificate.
• Must have an ISO Internal Auditor qualification.
• Must have Incident Investigation and Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment (HIRA) training.
• Registration with the SACPCMP as a Construction Health & Safety Manager will be advantageous.
• Must have at least 10 years of Health & Safety experience within the civil engineering and construction industry, including at least 5 years in a senior Health & Safety management role.
• Must have proven experience managing Health & Safety on large-scale civil engineering and infrastructure projects.
• Must have project experience on dams, roads, bridges, pipelines, bulk earthworks, water and wastewater treatment works, and reinforced concrete structures.
• Must have experience working with clients such as SANRAL, DWS, Rand Water, Transnet, Eskom, municipalities, or similar public and private sector organisations.
• Must have demonstrated experience managing Health & Safety across multiple projects simultaneously.
• Must have strong technical knowledge.
