Job summary

Rhodes University invites applications for a Senior HR Practitioner (Grade 14) on a 3-year fixed-term contract. The role sits in the People and Culture Division and focuses on delivering professional HR services to Faculties/Divisions, especially within Recruitment and Staffing.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or equivalent in Industrial/Organisational Psychology or HR (NQF level 7).
• Approx. 6 years’ recruitment and selection experience at all levels.
• Experience across HR areas (HR admin, IR, Training & Development, Remuneration, Performance).
• Experience using HR information systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional HR service to Faculties/Divisions as line manager of the unit.
• Contribute to development of HR policies and processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
• Lead recruitment initiatives and manage high-volume staffing (≥500 staff) within the unit.
