Job summary

Berzel Chafa is seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead all human resources initiatives within a luxury jewellery environment. The role covers recruitment, KPI planning, training, policy creation and staff management, with a focus on operational HR delivery and compliance.

The candidate should bring 5–8 years of HR generalist experience (3 in management), relevant qualifications, and a track record in service or retail settings. CCMA exposure and strong stakeholder collaboration are valued.

Qualifications

• Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent.
• Relevant tertiary HR qualification.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management.
• 5–8 years HR generalist experience, 3 at managerial level, in service/retail.
• Experience in recruitment, training, policy development and staff management.
• Industrial relations experience with CCMA exposure is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Oversee recruitment, KPI planning, training and development, policy creation and staff management.
• Provide operational HR leadership, partner with heads to optimise HR delivery.
• Manage industrial relations policies, grievance handling and disciplinaries.
• Guide managers on performance management and feedback.
• Ensure compliance with HR regulations and company procedures.
• Support payroll processes, contracts, leave and policy administration.
