Job summary

Pedros Chicken is seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead the HR function across its Distribution Centre network. The role blends strategic partnership with senior operational leaders and hands-on people management in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

You will translate business goals into practical HR solutions, drive workforce planning, employee relations, governance, and talent development across multiple DCs, with travel between sites as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR management, industrial psychology or labour relations.
• Minimum 8 years’ progressive HR experience with management exposure.
• Strong employee and labour relations experience in multi-site environments.
• Solid knowledge of SA employment legislation (LRA, BCEA, EEA, COIDA, UIF).
• Experience partnering with senior operational stakeholders to deliver HR solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead HR direction across the Distribution Centre network and partner with DC leaders.
• Drive workforce planning, recruitment support and TES cost management.
• Manage disciplinary, grievances and CCMA matters with governance.
• Oversee HR records, policies and compliance across sites.
• Coach DC managers on performance, development and retention.
• Travel between DC sites to support HR delivery.
• Collaborate with Group HR and centres of excellence as needed.
