• In-depth knowledge of hospitality accounting, including revenue recognition, COGS and departmental P&Ls.
• Proficiency with SAP, Oracle or Pastel and advanced Excel.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Experience in financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• High accuracy and attention to detail.
• Solid understanding of South African tax laws and compliance.
• Experience in the North West region is advantageous.

About the Role

Our client, a prominent hospitality group with diverse properties including hotels and restaurants in and around Klerksdorp, North West , is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Hospitality Accountant. This crucial role will be responsible for managing the financial operations of multiple entities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and providing insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of hospitality accounting principles, robust analytical skills, and a meticulous approach to financial reporting. You will play a key part in maintaining the financial health and integrity of our client's operations in the North West province.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for various business units.
