Placements24 is seeking a Commercial Vehicle Operator to join our client’s team in Rustenburg, North West. The role focuses on safe, timely transport of goods using heavy trucks, with responsibilities spanning pre-trip checks and secure cargo handling.

You will operate both articulated and rigid vehicles, ensuring compliance with all regulations and delivering excellent client service. The ideal candidate has a Code 14 EC license with PDP, 7+ years of heavy-truck experience, and a proven safe

Qualifications

• Valid Code 14 (EC) license with PDP.
• 7+ years experience as a commercial vehicle operator, specifically with heavy-duty trucks.
• Excellent driving record with no major infringements.
• Thorough knowledge of Rustenburg and North West road networks, as well as major national routes.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy commercial vehicles, such as articulated or rigid trucks, safely and efficiently.
• Transport goods to destinations with timely and secure delivery.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report defects.
• Ensure cargo is loaded, secured, and distributed safely.
• Maintain driver logs, trip records, and delivery manifests.
• Comply with transportation regulations, including hours of service and weight limits.
• Provide excellent service to clients during pickups/deliveries.
• Report accidents or challenges to fleet manager promptly.
• Maintain a clean, professional vehicle and appearance.
