Placements24 is seeking a Specialized Goods Transport Driver to operate from Rustenburg, North West. The role involves handling high-value, sensitive cargo with strict safety protocols and on-site operations.

You will manage route planning, cargo securing, and routine vehicle inspections, while maintaining detailed trip logs and reporting to dispatch. Ideal candidates have a Code 14 with PrDP, 5+ years of heavy-duty driving experience, and a proven ability to work under pressure.

Qualifications

• Valid Code 14 (EC) driver’s license with a valid PrDP.
• Minimum 5 years of experience driving heavy-duty vehicles.
• Proven experience handling sensitive/high-value/oversized cargo.
• Ability to perform physical tasks related to loading and securing cargo.
• Strong mechanical aptitude for basic vehicle maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate specialized vehicles for the transport of sensitive and high-value cargo.
• Plan and execute optimal routes, considering road conditions and cargo requirements.
• Ensure cargo is loaded, secured, and unloaded according to procedures.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and equipment.
• Adhere to safety regulations and company protocols for specialized transport.
• Maintain detailed logs of journeys, mileage, fuel consumption, and confirmations.
• Communicate with dispatch and stakeholders regarding delivery status and issues.
