Job summary

Placements24 in Cape Town is seeking a Head Fitness Coach to lead the athletic performance department at a premier sports academy. This senior role designs and implements strength and conditioning programs for elite youth athletes across disciplines, overseeing assessment, periodization, injury prevention, and performance optimization.

You will work with coaches and medical staff to foster discipline, resilience, and peak performance, while mentoring staff and managing budget and facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
• Minimum of 7 years coaching athletic performance with at least 3 in head role.
• CSCS certification is essential.
• Proven track record developing elite athletes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strength, conditioning, and athletic performance programs tailored to specific sports.
• Conduct regular athlete assessments and adjust training accordingly.
• Collaborate with medical staff on injury prevention and rehab strategies.
• Educate athletes and coaches on training techniques, nutrition and recovery.
• Manage the fitness department's budget and facilities.
