Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Geotechnical Engineer to join our Pretoria team. You will lead site investigations, coordinate laboratory testing, and develop robust geotechnical solutions for foundation design and earthworks across diverse projects.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree with a Geotechnical specialization, a Pr Eng registration with ECSA, and at least 6 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in PLAXIS and GeoStudio is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with Geotechnical specialization.
• Pr Eng registration with ECSA required.
• Minimum 6 years of geotechnical investigation and foundation design experience.
• Proficient in PLAXIS and GeoStudio software.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute geotechnical investigations including drilling and pits.
• Analyze soil and rock data to determine engineering properties.
• Design foundations, retaining walls, and earthworks for stability.
• Prepare comprehensive geotechnical reports for design teams.
• Collaborate with clients, engineers, and contractors to solve geotechnical challenges.
• Ensure compliance with SANS and industry best practices.
