Placements24 seeks a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to lead investigations and design projects in Mahikeng. You will oversee complex geotechnical assessments, advising on foundation design, slope stability and ground improvement methods, while mentoring junior staff.

The ideal candidate has a Master’s in Geotechnical Engineering and Pr Eng registration, with 9+ years in the field and a track record of client management and leadership. This role is based in the North West province.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Civil Engineering with Geotechnical specialization.
• Pr Eng registration with ECSA is mandatory.
• 9+ years of geotechnical experience, senior/lead level.
• Experience with geotechnical software PLAXIS, GeoStudio or FLAC.
• Strong leadership, communication, and client management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead geotechnical site investigations (planning, supervision, data analysis).
• Perform advanced analyses for foundations, retaining structures, and earthworks.
• Develop geotechnical design reports with clear recommendations.
• Ensure designs meet codes, standards and best practices.
• Provide technical oversight and mentorship to junior engineers.

Requirements
