Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Senior Geophysicist in Benoni (Gauteng) to lead seismic interpretation for exploration projects. The role requires deep expertise in 2D/3D interpretation, AV0 and attribute analysis, and integration with well logs and geological data to de-risk targets.

You will mentor junior geophysicists and collaborate with geologists and reservoir engineers, contributing to exploration strategy and technical decision-making on-site in Benoni.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Geophysics or related Earth Science.
• Minimum 8 years of seismic interpretation experience in oil and gas.
• Proficiency in Petrel, Kingdom, and HampsonRussell.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed 2D and 3D seismic data interpretation.
• Identify and map geological structures and stratigraphic features relevant to hydrocarbon exploration.
