You will integrate seismic interpretation with geological information and collaborate with geologists and engineers. Applicants should hold a Master’s or PhD in Geophysics and 5+ years of experience, with Proficiency in Petrel, Kingdom, and Hampson-Russell.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Geophysics or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in seismic data interpretation, preferably within the oil and gas industry.
• Proficiency with industry-standard seismic interpretation software (Petrel, Kingdom, Hampson-Russell).
• Strong understanding of seismic acquisition, processing, and imaging principles.
• Experience with seismic attribute analysis, AVO, and inversion techniques.

Responsibilities

Our client is looking for a skilled Geophysicist to join their exploration team, working remotely with key operations centered around Welkom . This role focuses on the analysis and interpretation of seismic data to identify and evaluate potential hydrocarbon reservoirs. You will utilize advanced geophysical techniques and software to process, interpret, and integrate seismic data with other geological information. The successful candidate will play a critical role in de-risking exploration opportunities and guiding future exploration strategies in the Free State region and beyond.
