Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Senior Geologist to join our client’s exploration team in a fully remote role. You will identify mineral resources, lead 3D geological models, and guide exploration strategies using advanced geological techniques.

The position requires a master's or Ph.D. in geology, 7+ years in mineral exploration, proficiency with Leapfrog, Vulcan, Datamine and GIS, and strong data analysis and reporting skills.

Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in Geology or related field.
• 7+ years in mineral exploration with geological modeling and resource estimation.
• Proficiency in Leapfrog, Vulcan, Datamine and GIS software.
• Strong data analysis, statistics, and deposit-type knowledge.
• Experience with geological/geochemical databases.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed geological mapping and data interpretation to identify potential mineral resources.
• Develop and manage 3D geological models using specialized software for resource estimation and visualization.
• Plan and oversee drilling programs, core logging, and sampling to collect crucial geological data.
• Analyze geochemical and geophysical data to define target areas and assess mineral potential.
• Prepare comprehensive geological reports, technical assessments, and presentations for stakeholders and management.
• Collaborate remotely with geophysicists, geochemists, and engineers to integrate diverse datasets and refine exploration models.
