The ideal candidate will have a Master's in Geology, 8+ years in mineral exploration, and strong GIS/modeling skills to drive discovery in South Africa's mineral belts.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Geology or a related Earth Science discipline.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in mineral exploration.
• Proven expertise in geological mapping, structural analysis, and mineral deposit modeling.
• Proficiency with GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) and geological modeling packages (e.g., Leapfrog, Micromine).
• Strong understanding of geophysical and geochemical exploration techniques.
• Excellent field skills, analytical abilities, and report writing capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, and execute geological exploration programs to identify and define new mineral resources.
• Interpret geological maps, cross-sections, and geophysical/geochemical data to guide exploration efforts.
• Conduct field mapping, sampling, and core logging for various deposit types.
• Utilize geological modeling software to create 3D models of ore bodies and estimate resource potential.
• Collaborate with geophysicists, geochemists, and engineers to integrate diverse datasets.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant mining and environmental regulations during exploration activities.
