Qualifications

• 5+ years rebuilding Allison and earthmoving units required.
• Ability to read and use a diagnostic machine properly.
• Own car and valid driving license preferred.
• Good track record and reliable performance.
• Computer literacy is advantageous.
• Allison certification is advantageous.
• Having own tools is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Repair & maintenance of gearboxes or diffs units.
• Adhere to weekly Monday Spring Clean and keep workspace neat.
• Manage and maintain toolbox.
• Maintain production book with job status details.
• Ensure fitted parts are suitable and not faulty.
• Uphold quality standards at all times.
• Adhere to Health & Safety and ISO regulations; wear PPE.
• Follow blueprint processes and inspection of new parts.
• Inspect parts before build and before dispatch from store.
• Re-box faulty parts and report to Assessor; maintain warehouse areas.
• Move completed gearbox units to vehicle or dispatch area.
• Sort leftovers and dispose of used parts weekly.
• Provide guidance to Gearbox Strippers on behavior and housekeeping.
• Report loss of tools to Workshop Foreman.
• Ensure all claims are test-driven by the General Manager.
• Assess all units with Stripper and GM as instructed.
• Handle breakdowns, deliveries, quality checks at customer prem.
• Search for used parts when necessary.
