Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a motivated Fundraising and Development Officer in Vereeniging, Gauteng. You will identify donors, craft strategic fundraising plans, and build lasting donor relationships to secure essential funding for our community programs.

You will write compelling proposals, manage donor data, and collaborate with program staff to demonstrate impact to supporters. Hybrid work arrangement offered.

Qualifications

• Proven fundraising experience in the non-profit sector.
• Track record of securing grants and donations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and proposal writing.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Identify and research potential individual, corporate, and foundation donors.
• Develop and implement strategic fundraising plans to meet targets.
• Cultivate and maintain donor relationships.
• Write, edit, and submit compelling grant proposals and sponsorship requests.
• Organize and execute fundraising events and campaigns.
• Manage donor database and ensure accurate records.
• Prepare fundraising reports for management and board.
• Collaborate with program staff to communicate impact to donors.
• Stay informed about fundraising trends and best practices.
• Represent the organization at networking events and donor meetings in Vereeniging.
