Job summary

Storyteq in Amsterdam is seeking an experienced full-stack engineer to join our platform team and help scale our product for global enterprises. You will collaborate with developers, designers, QA, DevOps and product owners to implement features, improve scalability and deliver high-quality outcomes.

You will work with PHP (Laravel) and Vue.js, design robust APIs, and help shape architecture while mentoring teammates. We offer a strong tech culture, great benefits, and a commitment to learning.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on full-stack development with PHP (Laravel)
• Experience with Vue.js or similar front-end frameworks
• Experience designing and integrating REST and GraphQL APIs
• Proficient in data modeling and SQL/NoSQL databases
• Strong testing, performance tuning and scalable design
• Excellent written and verbal English communication

About the job

You will be a part of the domain where we work to enable global enterprises to efficiently distribute up their content creation. Working directly with other Developers, Designers, Quality Engineers, DevOps Engineers, and Product Owners to deliver the best platform for our users. Your role will revolve around all the different elements that will bring our product to new heights. This includes implementing new features, scaling existing capabilities, and making our product more amazing every day. The team works with strong goals and a good balance of product & engineering roadmap features. That way we make sure we always keep our technology and product on track!

Key responsibilities

• Build and ship robust backend services and frontends with real product impact
• Ensure systems are scalable, performant and easy to maintain
• Collaborate across teams to integrate services and deliver end-to-end value
• Model business domains into clean, performant data structures
• Coach and mentor other engineers on best practices to help them grow
• Collaborate with other engineers and lead technical delivery on initiatives within a domain or project
• Lead by example in engineering excellence, pragmatism and shared ownership.

Key Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience delivering full-stack products with PHP (Laravel)
• Have experience with Vue.js (or other front-end frameworks)
• Solid experience designing and integrating REST and/or GraphQL APIs
• Comfortable working in monorepo environments and modular architectures
• Proficient in data modeling and working with SQL/NoSQL databases
• Familiar with testing practices, performance tuning, and scalable design principles
• You're proactive, result-driven, and excited to work in a fast-growing tech scale-up
• Confident in making architectural decisions and communicating trade-offs
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Nice to have

• Have affinity with TypeScript
• Experience with OAuth 2.0 authentication protocol, and SOAP
• Experience with Gitlab CI/CD, DevOps, public cloud (like GCP).
