Job summary

Boardroom Appointments is seeking a Software Engineer: Full Stack III in Stellenbosch, South Africa. The role focuses on designing scalable software solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and delivering robust, tested systems that meet client needs.

The incumbent will work across front-end and back-end layers, leverage cloud platforms, microservice architectures, and modern tooling to ensure performance, security and reliability at scale.

Qualifications

• Matric
• A relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology (ideal)
• 6+ years proven experience in both front- and back-end software development, project delivery and implementation (in relevant development technologies/language).
• Experience with modern front-end and back-end frameworks and technologies

Responsibilities

• Designing software solutions
• Translates business and technical requirements into scalable solutions
• Designs complex software systems with scalability and performance in mind
• Develops reusable code, APIs and libraries for future use
• Software development and systems integration
• Work with other software engineers and architects to support application functionality
• Optimise systems for maximum performance and scalability
• Implement automated testing and CICD practices
• Code reviews and maintaining high code quality
• Handle troubleshooting and bug fixes across environments
