Job summary

Boardroom Appointments in Stellenbosch seeks an experienced software developer to design, build, test and deploy robust applications. You will translate requirements into high-quality code and contribute to the full software development life cycle within a cross-functional team.

You will work across front-end and back-end technologies, including Java, C#, ReactJS, Angular and REST/SOAP services, with a focus on scalable, secure solutions and adherence to SDLC standards.

Qualifications

• 3 years proven experience in software development, project delivery and implementation.
• 7 years proven software development or relevant 3 year degree/diploma in IT with 5 years proven experience in software development.
• Experience with testing practices and high-volume industry exposure.
• Familiarity with service-oriented architecture and Agile SDLC (CI/CD standards).
• Experience with banking/financial services systems and AWS is a plus.
• Proficiency in Java, C#, SQL, CSS, ReactJS, Angular, VueJS, TypeScript, HTML, PHP and related frameworks.
• Backend development with C#, .NET Core and Entity Framework; Spring Boot and JPA; REST and SOAP; Git workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, document and deploy software from specifications following standards.
• Translate business/technical requirements into shippable code for high-quality solutions.
• Participate in a cross-functional team covering full SDLC from conception to deployment.
• Perform quality and performance testing, develop automation scripts and handle load testing.
• Ensure secure, robust solutions and manage non-functional architectural concerns.
• Maintain and upgrade software while ensuring on-time delivery and SLA adherence.
• Collaborate with vendors and IT teams for system integration and uptime.
• Provide standby support for development, QA and production environments.
