Job summary

Boardroom Appointments is seeking an experienced Front-end Software Engineer with 8+ years of experience building applications. You will work in a cross-functional team using React and/or Angular, HTML5, CSS3, and modern JS tooling to deliver scalable UI solutions.

You will collaborate with project management, solution architects, and design teams to estimate scope, implement APIs, and ensure performance and quality across the stack. Office-based in Gauteng Midrand area.

Qualifications

At least a Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

Work within a Software Development team following Agile methodologies.
Collaborate with project management and solution architects to estimate and scope projects.
Collaborate with Creative team in planning, discovery and production phases.
Cooperate with front-end and back-end teams to build and optimize solutions.
Optimize code for performance.
Comment code and produce documentation to industry standards as needed.
Produce code to high standards while following MVC, SOA, OOP and DI patterns.
Define and develop APIs.
Contribute to analysis and design of software products and tools.
Evaluate and advise on technical feasibility.
Create quality prototypes for UI clarity.
Test and verify software is fit for purpose for intended audiences.
Recommend refinements and improvements.
Follow formal Software Engineering best practices.
Mentor and guide team members.
Monitor and measure customer experience and KPIs.
Prepare periodic progress reports for management and customers.
