Job summary

Placements24 is hiring a Senior Frontend Developer (React) for a fully remote role based in George, Western Cape. You will design, build, and optimize user-facing features for the flagship platform, collaborating with UX/UI designers and backend engineers in an agile environment.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of frontend experience with React, strong JS/HTML/CSS, and familiarity with modern build tools. Remote work offered with opportunities to influence architecture and roadmap.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional frontend development experience, with at least 3 years focused on React.js.
• Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3.
• Experience with modern frontend build pipelines and tools (Webpack, Babel, npm/yarn).
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling.
• Familiarity with Redux or Zustand for state management.
• Experience with Git and code versioning.
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for remote work.
• Experience with Jest or React Testing Library is a plus.
