Job summary

iMasFinance, a financial services cooperative, is seeking a Forensic Officer to lead investigations into fraud and financial irregularities within the organization. The role reports to the Head of Internal Audit and requires handling investigative planning, execution, and reporting with strong stakeholder communication.

The ideal candidate brings experience in forensic investigations, audits, and compliance with professional standards, plus relevant accreditations and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• National Diploma in Forensic Investigation / Auditing is essential.
• BCom Degree / BTech Forensic Accounting / Auditing is recommended.
• ACFE Accreditation/Membership is essential.
• Investigative interviewing certification is recommended.
• PIA Accreditation/Registration is essential.
• CIA Accreditation/Registration is essential.
• A valid driving license is essential.

Responsibilities

• Investigative Planning: Develop investigation plans and programs; conduct stakeholder briefings; define scope, risks and outputs; ensure policy alignment and tracking in fraud management systems.
• Conduct Investigations: Identify fraud, control weaknesses and deviations; communicate findings to stakeholders and ensure corrective actions.
• Reporting and administration: Draft, review and finalize forensic investigation reports; translate data into visuals; distribute to stakeholders; prepare executive summaries.
• Customer Relations: Collaborate with law enforcement, regulators and legal counsel; manage stakeholder relationships and service levels; testify as needed.
• People Management: Supervise internal auditors and learners; support recruitment; mentor staff; manage performance and employee relations.
