Job summary

Mototeam (Pty) Ltd in Gauteng's East Rand is seeking an experienced Senior Workshop Foreman to lead and oversee the service workshop, ensuring servicing and repairs meet OEM standards and first-time right quality. You will manage technicians and apprentices, drive productivity and warranty processes, and maintain high customer satisfaction while achieving CSI targets.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 (Matric) is required.
• Qualified Motor Mechanic with a recognised Trade Test (Red Seal).
• Minimum 8 years' experience in a franchised automotive dealership service workshop.
• Previous roles as Senior Foreman, Workshop Foreman, Assistant Workshop Manager, Workshop Manager or Senior Service Advisor.

Duties include

• Lead and oversee the daily operations of the service workshop.
• Ensure all servicing and repairs are completed correctly the first time, in line with OEM standards.
• Manage and motivate technicians, apprentices and workshop support staff.
• Drive workshop productivity, labour sales and profitability.
• Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and achieve CSI targets.
• Oversee warranty administration and workshop quality standards.
• Manage workshop inventory, tooling and stock control.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and housekeeping standards.
• Support the Workshop Manager in achieving departmental objectives and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric).
• Qualified Motor Mechanic with a recognised Trade Test (Red Seal).
• Minimum 8 years' experience within a franchised automotive dealership service workshop.
• Previous experience as a Senior Foreman, Workshop Foreman, Assistant Workshop Manager, Workshop Manager or Senior Service Advisor.
• Mahindra dealership experience will be advantageous.
• Strong technical knowledge of vehicle servicing, diagnostics and repairs.
• Proven leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Experience managing workshop performance, productivity and warranty processes.
• Computer literate with experience on dealership management systems such as Evolve, IAL, CMS or similar.
• Valid South African driver's licence.
• Clear criminal record.
