Placements24 is seeking an accomplished Supply Chain Manager to oversee end-to-end operations in Rustenburg, North West. You will lead procurement, logistics, warehousing and distribution, driving efficiency and cost-effectiveness across the supply chain.

The role requires 7+ years in supply chain, FMCG exposure, and strong leadership. Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus; ERP proficiency and negotiation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in SCM, Logistics, Business Administration or related field.
• Master's degree or professional certification is advantageous.
• Minimum 7 years progressive experience in supply chain management, with FMCG exposure.
• Proven expertise in logistics, procurement, inventory management and distribution.
• Track record of optimizing operations and implementing cost-saving initiatives.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Proficiency in SCM software and ERP systems.
• Strong leadership and team management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Lean or Six Sigma familiarity is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage comprehensive supply chain strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Oversee logistics, including transport, warehousing, inventory management and distribution.
• Manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts and ensure sourcing of materials and finished goods.
• Implement and maintain inventory control systems to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.
• Optimize distribution networks and logistics operations for timely, cost-effective delivery.
• Develop and manage the supply chain budget and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Implement KPIs to monitor supply chain efficiency and effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and safety standards.
• Lead and develop a high-performing supply chain team.
• Utilize technology and data analytics to drive continuous improvement.
