Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Supply Chain Director to design, implement, and optimize end-to-end supply chain strategies from procurement to distribution. This executive role-based in Rustenburg demands strategic leadership and a track record in cost reduction and performance improvements within FMCG.

The ideal candidate will manage international and domestic supply chains, mentor a cross-functional team, and drive innovative, compliant, and sustainable practices across the organization.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
• APICS certification is highly advantageous.
• Minimum 12 years in supply chain management with at least 6 years in senior leadership within FMCG.
• Proven track record of cost savings and efficiency gains in complex international/domestic supply chains.
• Strong leadership and ability to motivate cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute an integrated supply chain strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Oversee procurement, demand planning, inventory, warehousing, transport, and logistics.
• Lead and mentor a high-performing supply chain team.
• Implement systems to optimize inventory, lead times, and costs.
• Build relationships with suppliers, logistics providers, and partners.
• Ensure regulatory, quality, and safety compliance across the supply chain.
• Drive innovation and sustainable sourcing initiatives.
• Manage supply chain budget and financial accountability.
• Monitor KPIs and take corrective actions as needed.
• Develop contingency plans for disruptions.
