Placements24 is seeking a Senior Fleet Operations Specialist in Pretoria to optimize fleet performance, ensure regulatory compliance, and manage operational costs in a hybrid role.

You will leverage fleet management software, GPS tracking and data analysis to drive efficiency, develop policies, and support strategic decisions while coordinating with internal teams and external vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in fleet management or transportation operations.
• Proficiency with fleet management software, GPS tracking and telematics.
• Strong analytical, reporting and data interpretation skills.
• Good understanding of vehicle maintenance, fuel management and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the company fleet, ensuring optimal utilization and efficiency.
• Manage vehicle procurement, maintenance schedules and repair processes to minimize downtime.
• Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, licensing, and insurance requirements.
• Analyze fleet data to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve operational performance.
• Develop and implement fleet policies and procedures to enhance safety and efficiency.
• Collaborate with internal departments and external vendors to support operational needs.
