Placements24 in Bloemfontein is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join a corporate finance team. You will perform in-depth financial analysis, build complex models for forecasting and budgeting, and provide strategic insights to support business decisions.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related quantitative field.
A professional certification (CFA/CPA) is highly desirable.
Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in financial analysis, corporate finance, or investment banking.
Strong expertise in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and statistical analysis.
Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency with pivot tables and complex modeling.
Experience with FP&A software such as Hyperion or SAP BPC is a plus.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

Conduct detailed financial analysis, including variance, trend, and profitability analysis.
Develop and maintain complex financial models for forecasting, budgeting, valuation, and scenario planning.
Prepare regular financial reports, management presentations, and board materials.
Assist in evaluating potential mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic investment opportunities.
Monitor KPIs and provide insights and recommendations for improvement.
Support the annual budgeting and long-term strategic planning processes.
Analyze data to identify risks and opportunities and develop mitigation strategies.
Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data and reporting systems.
Collaborate with accounting teams to ensure proper financial statement preparation and compliance.
