Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Financial Accountant to join the Kimberley-based finance team. The role oversees accounting operations, including AP/AR, GL, and financial reporting, ensuring data integrity and timely close processes.

The ideal candidate holds a CA(SA)/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent, with at least 4 years of progressive experience and strong Excel skills. This permanent, office-based position in Kimberley offers a competitive package and career growth within the finance department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• Professional qualification such as CA(SA), ACCA or CIMA is required.
• Minimum of 4 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Proficiency in SAP, Oracle and advanced Excel.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting operations, including journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring efficient processing.
• Assist with budget preparation and variance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS and internal controls.
• Support internal and external audits.
