The ideal candidate has 5+ years of accounting experience, a relevant degree, and a professional qualification (CA(SA)/ACCA/CIMA) desirable. You will mentor junior staff and contribute to strategic financial initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Professional accounting qualification (CA(SA), ACCA or CIMA) desirable.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including 2 years in a senior/supervisory role.
• Proficiency in SAP or Oracle and advanced Excel.
• Strong IFRS knowledge.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all deadlines are met.
• Prepare and review detailed financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements in accordance with IFRS.
• Conduct variance analysis and provide insightful commentary on financial performance against budget and prior periods.
• Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring efficient and accurate transaction processing.
• Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts regularly.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
