Placements24 is seeking a Senior Film Editor for a Port Elizabeth production house. You will shape the narrative and pacing of films, documentaries, and other content, transforming raw footage into compelling stories in collaboration with directors and producers.

The role requires minimum 7 years of experience, proficiency in editing software (Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Avid), strong storytelling, and a portfolio of diverse work.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of professional film editing experience.
• Proficiency in non-linear editors (Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Avid).
• Strong narrative, pacing, and cinematic storytelling abilities.
• Portfolio demonstrating diverse editing styles.

Responsibilities

• Edit raw footage into cohesive narrative sequences.
• Collaborate with directors to realize their vision.
• Select takes, arrange shots, and implement pacing.
• Perform color correction and basic sound mixing.
• Manage project timelines and ensure on-time delivery.
• Evaluate and improve editing techniques and workflows.
