Our client, a growing media production company in Richards Bay , is seeking a seasoned Senior Video Editor to join their creative team. This role is essential for crafting compelling visual narratives across various platforms, including television, online content, and corporate communications. You will be responsible for assembling raw footage, adding visual elements, and ensuring the final product meets high standards of quality and artistic integrity. This position requires a keen eye for detail, a strong sense of pacing, and the ability to collaborate effectively with directors and producers to bring creative visions to life within the vibrant KwaZulu-Natal media landscape.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit raw footage into polished, engaging video content for diverse applications, including promotional material, documentaries, and online series.
• Incorporate graphics, music, sound effects, and color correction to enhance the visual narrative.
• Collaborate with directors, producers, and clients to understand project goals and deliver according to their vision.
• Manage and organize large volumes of video assets and project files efficiently.
• Ensure final edits meet technical specifications for various distribution platforms.
• Provide creative input and suggest improvements to enhance the storytelling and impact of the final video product.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience as a Video Editor , with a strong portfolio showcasing narrative and commercial work.
• Advanced proficiency in non-linear editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
• Experience with color grading, audio mixing, and motion graphics integration.
• Strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, and visual composition.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
