Job summary

A leading insurance company in Cape Town is looking for a Facilities Management professional to oversee various technical and logistical operations. Candidates must have at least an 8-year background in a similar role, including 5 years in a managerial capacity. Responsibilities include managing budgets, compliance with health and safety regulations, and coordinating office moves. A BSc or equivalent qualification along with relevant certifications in Facilities Management is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Minimum BSc Built Environment, Engineering, BCom or Btech.
• At least 8 years of experience in a similar role.
• Minimum of 5 years managerial experience.
• Accounting knowledge and understanding of ESG.
• Knowledge of SANS, National Building Regulations, and OHS Act.
• Knowledge of various building contracts applicable to building services.
• Computer literate with Microsoft Office Packages.
• Knowledge of CAD, CMMS software will be advantageous.
• Professional certification in Facilities Management is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Primary contact for all facilities management matters.
• Manage Facilities Management budgets and service level agreements.
• Facilitate disaster recovery management and occupational health and safety.
• Manage third-party contracts related to facilities.
• Oversee installations and management of technical systems.
• Manage building maintenance and construction projects.
• Supervise mail room and logistics operations.
• Coordinate office moves across the Santam Group.
