Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proactive Facilities Maintenance Engineer to oversee the upkeep and operational efficiency of its Pretoria facilities. You will lead a team, manage external contractors, and develop proactive maintenance schedules to prevent disruptions.

The ideal candidate has an engineering degree in Mechanical or Electrical disciplines, 7+ years of facilities experience, and strong leadership with CMMS expertise.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 7+ years of facilities management and maintenance engineering experience.
• Experience with electrical, plumbing, HVAC and fire safety systems.
• Proficiency with CMMS.
• Strong leadership and project management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs for facility systems.
• Supervise maintenance staff and external contractors.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure safety compliance.
• Manage maintenance budgets and optimize resources.
• Respond to facility emergencies and urgent repairs promptly.
