About the Role

Our client, WhatJobs Direct, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Facilities Hygiene Manager to lead our remote sanitation operations. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive hygiene and sanitation strategies and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for a diverse portfolio of facilities.
• Conduct remote audits and assessments of cleaning performance, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring adherence to quality standards.
• Manage and train remote cleaning teams, providing clear guidance, feedback, and performance evaluations.
• Oversee the procurement and effective utilization of cleaning supplies, equipment, and technologies.
• Investigate and resolve hygiene-related issues and customer complaints promptly and professionally.
• Stay abreast of the latest industry trends, regulations, and best practices in sanitation and public health.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate hygiene protocols into overall facility management plans.
• Prepare detailed reports on hygiene performance, resource allocation, and incident management for senior leadership.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in facilities management, hygiene, sanitation, or a related field, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing successful hygiene programs, preferably in a remote or distributed operational setting.
• Strong understanding of health and safety regulations, infectious disease control, and environmental sanitation principles.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a remote workforce effectively.
• Proficiency in using digital tools for project management, communication, and reporting (Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, project management software).
• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Environmental Health, Public Health, Hospitality Management, or Facility Management is highly preferred.
• Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to improve sanitation outcomes.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a remote work environment.
