Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Facilities Engineer to join the Kimberley-based operations team, overseeing offshore and onshore oil and gas facilities. You will lead asset integrity, maintenance strategies, and support modifications to production facilities in a challenging environment.

This hybrid role offers the chance to apply engineering expertise, manage risk and compliance, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safety, efficiency, and reliable production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or related discipline is required.
• 7+ years of experience in facilities engineering, maintenance or project engineering in Oil & Gas.
• Strong understanding of structural integrity, materials science, and industry codes/standards.
• Experience with process safety, risk management, and HAZOP studies.
• Proficiency in interpreting P&IDs, equipment specifications, and maintenance documentation.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills, especially in Kimberley.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement asset integrity and maintenance strategies for production facilities, pipelines, platforms, and processing plants.
• Oversee inspections, testing, and repair programs to ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
• Troubleshoot operational and equipment issues with timely engineering solutions.
• Support planning and execution of facility modifications, upgrades, and brownfield projects.
• Collaborate with operations, drilling, and project teams to meet production and safety requirements.
• Prepare technical reports, risk assessments, and cost estimates for facility activities.
