Placements24 is seeking a Senior Facilities Engineer to lead design, construction, and maintenance of oil and gas facilities in Paarl. You will manage engineering activities, ensure adherence to specifications, safety standards, and budgets, and guide key projects with a focus on reliability and uptime.

The role requires 8+ years in facilities engineering within oil & gas, strong project management skills, and knowledge of process design and safety systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Civil Engineering.
• 8+ years of experience in facilities engineering within Oil & Gas.
• Proven experience in project management, including cost estimation and scheduling.
• Strong knowledge of process design, equipment selection, and safety systems for oil and gas facilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the design, procurement, and installation of oil and gas processing facilities.
• Ensure all facility designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage engineering contractors and vendors throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct technical reviews and HAZOP studies for new and existing facilities.
• Develop and implement maintenance strategies to ensure facility reliability and uptime.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for operational issues related to facilities.
