Placements24 is seeking a Senior Environmental Chemical Engineer to remotely support industrial water and wastewater treatment projects near Rustenburg, SA. You will design, optimize, and troubleshoot treatment systems, ensuring compliance with regulations and client needs.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering with a specialization in Environmental Engineering.
8+ years in industrial water and wastewater treatment engineering.
PE or equivalent certification is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and permitting.

Responsibilities

Design, evaluate, and optimize chemical treatment processes for industrial water and wastewater.
Conduct treatability studies and pilot tests for new methods.
Develop process designs, PFDs, and P&IDs for treatment plants.
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and permitting.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for treatment systems.
Collaborate with managers, clients, and regulators for project success.
Prepare technical reports, proposals, and presentations.
Mentor junior engineers and support staff on best practices.
