About the Role

Our client, a prominent player in the logistics and supply chain industry, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Enterprise Security Architect. This fully remote position offers the flexibility to work from anywhere in South Africa. You will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive security architecture strategy to protect the organization's information assets and systems. This role demands a deep understanding of security principles, threat landscapes, risk management, and various security technologies across on-premises and cloud environments. You will collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to ensure security is integrated into the design of all systems and processes. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a proven ability to design robust, scalable, and effective security solutions. This is a critical role for safeguarding our client's operations and sensitive data, impacting their capabilities in and around Mahikeng, North West .

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the enterprise security architecture roadmap and strategy.
• Design and implement security controls and solutions across various technology domains (network, application, cloud, endpoint).
• Conduct security risk assessments and provide recommendations for mitigation.
• Define security standards, policies, and procedures.
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure security is integrated into system design and development.
• Evaluate and recommend security technologies and solutions.
• Provide security expertise and guidance to project teams and stakeholders.
• Develop incident response plans and strategies.
• Stay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies.

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in information security, with at least 4 years in an architecture or senior security engineering role.
• Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise-wide security architectures.
• In-depth knowledge of security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001) and best practices.
• Strong understanding of network security, application security, cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP), and identity and access management (IAM).
• Experience with security technologies such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, endpoint protection, and encryption.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders.
• Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISSP-ISSAP).
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
