Job summary
Nedbank is seeking a Senior IT Architect to lead design and evolution of scalable technology solutions across Nedbank Infrastructure. The role concentrates on Digital Mobile Applications and APIs, providing architectural leadership and ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and business objectives.
You will guard solution integrity from concept to implementation, drive engineering excellence, and mentor squads while collaborating with product owners and governance forums to balance
Qualifications
- Matric/Grade 12 and IT qualifications.
- National Diploma or Degree in IT related field.
- Postgraduate qualification in Technology or Architecture disciplines is beneficial.
- TOGAF certification is preferred.
- Azure and AWS cloud certifications advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Design end-to-end technology solutions spanning applications, integrations, data, infrastructure and operational processes.
- Produce and maintain architecture artefacts: system and security diagrams, data flow and LS0 diagrams.
- Ensure solutions align to enterprise principles, security standards and governance.
- Drive future-state architecture decisions balancing delivery timelines and risks.
- Review and reduce technical debt through design decisions.
- Provide technical leadership across multiple squads and teams.
- Mentor developers and junior leads in design practices and architecture.
- Review and approve high-level and detailed designs.
- Support complex problem solving and production investigations.
