Job summary

Eskom Distribution in South Africa is seeking a Senior Engineer (Task Grade P16) to join the Strategy and New Business Development team at Megawatt Park, Sunninghill. The role concentrates on developing and supporting technology strategies, processes, standards, specifications and designs for product development.

You will provide technical consulting, produce asset creation engineering solutions, and conduct research on new technologies to inform product development across the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• BSc/BEng in Engineering at NQF8 with 480 credits.
• 4 years related experience in technical engineering.
• ECSA professional engineer registration.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical consulting, investigation and support for product development.
• Produce and integrate asset creation engineering solutions for new or enhanced products.
• Develop discipline specific philosophies, standards and procedures.
• Conduct research on new technologies to inform product development.
• Manage product, equipment, material and service development across lifecycles.

Qualification(s)

· 4 Years’ related experience in technical engineering and related technologies.

· Professional Registration Body: Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) as professional engineer.
