Job summary

AECOM is recruiting a Senior Engineer – Geotechnical to lead geotechnical investigations and design across multiple SA locations (Bloemfontein, Bellville, Centurion). The role requires mentoring junior staff, liaising with contractors, and ensuring high-quality deliverables on time.

The candidate should have extensive geotechnical experience, knowledge of Eurocodes, and be willing to travel to project sites as needed. Hybrid work arrangement expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years’ geotechnical investigation and design experience.
• Registration with ECSA as a Professional Engineer or Chartered status (International Engineer).
• Demonstrated leadership in similar roles and ability to mentor staff.

Responsibilities

• Develop geotechnical solutions using established principles.
• Monitor field activities to meet project requirements and client expectations.
• Collaborate with geotechnical contractors to ensure deadlines are met.
• Prepare technical documents and reports with quality and accuracy.
