Job summary

Qualifications

• BSc Eng./BEng in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic/Industrial Eng at NQF 8 with 480 Credits.
• 4 years' experience in power system planning and/or forecasting environment.
• Knowledge of electricity markets, energy economics and specialised computer programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide medium to long term energy planning capability.
• Perform economic and financial analysis on alternative technology options and various energy planning studies.
• Conduct research on energy planning methods, developing new techniques and adapting appropriate methods and techniques.
• Continuous assessment of the developments in the energy sector.
