Job summary

Arup is seeking a Senior Project Manager with energy and infrastructure expertise to lead complex projects across multiple sectors in the Built Environment. Based in Johannesburg or Cape Town, you will manage stakeholder engagement, risk, design, construction and quality assurance from start to finish.

You will drive execution plans, collaborate with clients and Arup teams, ensure compliance with standards and permits, and mitigate risks while maintaining strong relationships with governments,

Qualifications

• Professional Engineer registration and relevant advanced certifications.
• Renewable energy sector experience including wind/solar preferred.
• Strong understanding of project management in energy infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement detailed project execution plans for complex energy/infrastructure projects.
• Coordinate with clients, Arup teams and authorities to meet design, regulatory and environmental requirements.
• Identify and mitigate project risks while maintaining relationships with governments, communities and suppliers.
• Oversee project progress, reporting to senior management and stakeholders.
• Apply energy/infrastructure technical knowledge and Arup best practices across the project lifecycle.

Pr Eng registration

Master's degree advantageous

CEM / SACPCMP certifications

Renewable energy experience

Education

Bachelor's degree in engineering
