Placements24 is seeking a Senior Electrical Technician in Vereeniging to join our industrial operations team. You will install, maintain, and troubleshoot complex electrical systems across varied facilities, ensuring reliability and safety.

You will read schematics, work with motor controls and PLCs, and provide guidance to junior technicians while collaborating with engineers on system upgrades in a demanding environment.

Qualifications

National Diploma or N6 certificate in Electrical Engineering (Technician).
5+ years of experience as an Electrical Technician in an industrial environment.
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, motor controls, and PLCs.
Experience with testing and diagnostic equipment.
Excellent troubleshooting skills and a strong commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

Perform skilled installation, maintenance, repair, and testing of electrical equipment and systems.
Diagnose and resolve complex electrical faults and breakdowns efficiently.
Interpret and work from electrical schematics , blueprints, and technical manuals.
Conduct preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and ensure equipment longevity.
Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company standards.
