ManpowerGroup is seeking a Senior Product Engineer in Cape Town to lead electrical maintenance on production equipment within an FMCG setting. You will diagnose faults, program PLCs, and ensure compliance with safety standards while coordinating with the maintenance team on shutdowns and upgrades.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of relevant experience, strong electrical and automation knowledge, and the ability to read schematics.

Qualifications

• Qualified Electrician with a valid trade certificate.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in an FMCG or manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, PLCs, VSDs, and industrial automation.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
• Experience with troubleshooting electrical and mechanical faults.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Candidates with their own reliable vehicle will be preferable.

Responsabilités

• Perform routine electrical maintenance, fault-finding, and repairs on production machinery and equipment.
• Ensure all electrical systems comply with relevant safety and industry regulations.
• Conduct inspections and preventative maintenance to minimize breakdowns and improve operational efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues in a time-sensitive manner to maintain production flow.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to execute planned shutdowns and upgrades.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records of maintenance work and repairs.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment at all times.
• Provide technical support and guidance to production teams regarding electrical matters.
