Manpower Sa (Pty) Ltd is seeking a Qualified Electrician to join a large FMCG company in Cape Town. The role focuses on installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems to ensure peak performance and minimal downtime in a fast-paced production environment.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years in FMCG/manufacturing, strong PLC/VSD knowledge, and the ability to read electrical drawings. On-site work with a safety-driven team is essential.

Formación

• Must hold a valid Qualified Electrician trade certificate.
• 3–5 years experience in FMCG/manufacturing environments.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, PLCs, VSDs, and automation.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsabilidades

• Perform routine electrical maintenance, fault-finding and repairs on production machinery and equipment.
• Ensure all electrical systems comply with safety and industry regulations.
• Conduct inspections and preventative maintenance to minimize breakdowns and improve efficiency.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues to maintain production flow in time-sensitive situations.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team for planned shutdowns and upgrades.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime in a high-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine electrical maintenance, fault-finding, and repairs on production machinery and equipment.
• Ensure all electrical systems comply with relevant safety and industry regulations.
• Conduct inspections and preventative maintenance to minimize breakdowns and improve operational efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues in a time-sensitive manner to maintain production flow.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to execute planned shutdowns and upgrades.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records of maintenance work and repairs.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment at all times.
• Provide technical support and guidance to production teams regarding electrical matters.

Requirements

• Qualified Electrician with a valid trade certificate.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in an FMCG or manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, PLCs, VSDs, and industrial automation.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
• Experience with troubleshooting electrical and mechanical faults.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Candidates with their own reliable vehicle will be preferable.
