About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and experienced Senior Electrical Installation Engineer to oversee and manage the installation of electrical systems and equipment in various projects, primarily based in the Randburg, Gauteng area, with potential for hybrid work arrangements. This role is critical for ensuring that electrical installations are executed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with design specifications and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in site supervision, project coordination, and a deep understanding of electrical installation best practices. You will be instrumental in leading installation teams and ensuring the successful completion of electrical components of complex projects. We are looking for a hands‑on professional with excellent site management skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage all aspects of electrical installations on project sites.


• Ensure that all electrical installations are performed in accordance with design drawings, specifications, and relevant codes (e.g., SANS 0142).


• Develop and implement electrical installation plans, schedules, and method statements.


• Conduct site inspections and quality control checks to ensure work meets required standards.


• Manage site safety protocols and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations (OHS Act).


• Coordinate with site managers, project managers, contractors, and clients to resolve installation-related issues.


• Oversee the testing and commissioning of installed electrical systems and equipment.


• Prepare site progress reports, including any deviations, challenges, and resolutions.


• Manage the procurement and inventory of electrical materials and equipment on site.


• Mentor and guide site-based electrical teams and contractors.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a relevant technical qualification.


• A minimum of 7 years of experience specifically in electrical installation and site supervision.


• Proven track record of successfully managing electrical installations for commercial, industrial, or residential projects.
