Ideal candidates will have at least 8 years in electrical installation and construction, with 3+ years in foreman roles, strong leadership, and the ability to interpret complex drawings while coordinating with project managers and other trades.

Qualifications

About the Role

Our client, a prominent construction and infrastructure development company, is looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Foreman to lead teams on various projects in the Randburg area. This leadership role requires a hands-on approach, ensuring the safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of electrical installations according to project specifications and timelines. You will be responsible for supervising electricians, managing resources, coordinating with other trades, and upholding strict safety standards on construction sites. The ideal candidate is a seasoned professional with excellent leadership skills and a deep understanding of electrical systems in large-scale projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct the work of a team of electricians and electrical apprentices on construction projects.
• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical designs to plan and execute installation tasks.
• Ensure all electrical work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with building codes and industry standards.
• Manage project resources, including materials, tools, and equipment, ensuring timely delivery and optimal usage.
• Coordinate with project managers, site supervisors, and other trade foremen to ensure seamless project integration.
• Conduct safety meetings, enforce safety regulations, and maintain a safe working environment on-site.

Requirements

• Qualified Electrician with relevant trade certification (e.g., NQF Level 3/4 or equivalent).
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in electrical installation and construction, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or foreman role.
• Demonstrated experience leading teams and managing electrical work on complex projects.
• In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and safety regulations.
• Ability to read and understand complex technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills required for the Gauteng region.
