About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly competent Senior Electrical Engineer with expertise in Building Services to join their prestigious firm in Pretoria . This hybrid role involves designing and overseeing the electrical systems for commercial, residential, and industrial buildings. You will be instrumental in ensuring that all electrical installations are safe, efficient, and compliant with national building codes and regulations. This position requires strong project management skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with architects, project managers, and construction teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of electrical systems for new builds and renovations, including lighting, power distribution, emergency systems, and fire detection.
• Prepare detailed electrical drawings, specifications, and calculations using industry-standard software.
• Conduct site inspections during the construction phase to ensure installations are performed according to design and quality standards.
• Review and approve shop drawings and submittals from contractors.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior electrical engineers and design technicians.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in electrical building services design and project management.
• Proficiency in Electrical CAD software (e.g., Revit MEP, AutoCAD) and relevant simulation tools.
• In‑depth knowledge of SANS regulations, local electrical codes, and building standards.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet strict deadlines.
