Placements24 is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our growing team in Mossel Bay, focusing on solar and wind energy projects. You will design electrical systems, develop schematics, perform interconnection studies, and supervise commissioning on-site.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, 5+ years in renewables, and proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical, PVsyst, Helioscope.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field) required.
• At least 5 years in electrical engineering with focus on renewables (solar or wind).
• Experience with AutoCAD Electrical, PV design tools (PVSyst/Helioscope).
• Knowledge of grid interconnection standards and site commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer electrical systems for solar PV and wind projects.
• Develop electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and interconnection studies.
• Perform load flow, fault analysis, and grounding studies.
• Specify major electrical equipment (inverters, transformers, switchgear, batteries).
• Oversee electrical aspects of construction, installation, and commissioning phases.
• Collaborate with civil, mechanical, and project teams to ensure project success.
